My Life

My photo
Florence, Montana, United States
I now live in Phoenix, AZ. Just moved from Florence, MT and I miss it a lot already. Arizona is ugly as hell. I'm going to DeVry for a degree in Game and Simulation Programming. And that's pretty much the only exciting stuff in my life anymore.

Things Have Changed

I decided I'm going to start blogging again, except this time I'm going to do it on Myspace along with Blogspot. That way all my friends have easier access to what's going on if they want it.

Anyways, LOTS has changed in the pass month or so. First off, I'm living in Phoenix, Arizona. And first impressions are... it pretty much sucks. I guess nothing really compares to Montana. And maybe I hate it here because so much has gone wrong since I got here. First the positive stuff though. I'm lucky to be living with my cousin Dustin which I'm sure most of you know. It makes it a lot easier to live in a foreign place when you have a familiar face around. I started school at DeVry, and so far I like it. I've only been taking a math and english class so far so nothing too exciting. I'll be getting into programming next semester though. I got a job at a sports cafe/bar in scottsdale, which I kinda hate already. Wish I could go back to work at the hospital where everyone knew me. I think I'm generaly pissed off a lot here because I don't know anyone and no one is friendly here.

As for the bad news, there are several things. The first was even before I left home. James had to leave for the Air Force and will be away for 6 years in Alaska, Iraq, and Washington. The second thing was just having my family leave, being away from everyone is the hardest thing ever. Third, I found out that my cousin Max who is also one of my best friends was diagnosed with Lymphoma (a type of cancer). And finally and most recently I was in a collision where no one was hurt but the repairs are costing me $2000, which is more than half of what I had saved up for living in Phoenix and college. And to add to all of it these things all hapened within a week or so of each other. So just when I was getting used to one change, I was thrown back into the chaos.

So for everyone still in Montana, consider yourself lucky because it is by FAR the best state in the US, in my opinion of course. Anyway, I did shave my head since Max started chemo (or however you spell it) and shaved all of his head, as did Dustin and many others in the family. I'll put a couple pictures in here to make it a little more exciting ^^ But, I hope all of you are having a good fall. And if anyone wants to get hold of me I have a cell phone now so just leave me a message asking for my number if u want it to text me or anything. Peace.

Dry spot

I haven't been posting any new entries for a while. I've been spending a LOT of time packing so I don't really have time for anything else. I leave on Friday and move in on Sunday, I'm looking forward to it!

My Dog Milo

I just wanted to start introducing some of the people in my life, so the first one will be my beautiful pug Milo. I know she has a boy's name but she is a girl pug. She's not the regular fawn color that you mostly see, she's all black with a small white spot on her chest. As for what she does, well... she just sleeps all day. While I'm gone she sleeps outside on a cushiony chair, and when I get home she comes in and sleeps on the couch, and then when I go to bed she sleeps on my bed. She's sooooooooo exciting. I can get her to be active, but she's usually just there to pet and listen to as she snores and snorts all day long.

An Unfortunate Farewell

Tomorrow will be the last time I get to see my best and only close friend in a very long time. He has to leave for basic training for the Air Force and then attend the military's tech school. He will be able to come back after that to visit for a while, but of course I will be in Arizona by then and will not get to see him. He may be stationed in Tuscon or Phoenix for a small amount of time if he gets his way, allowing me to see him then, but nothing is for sure. I was fortunate enough to spend the last few days with him before he has to go. It is very unfortunate that he has to leave because he was tricked into joining by a girl, but I will not go into detail on that matter since I don't know everything first hand. The only thing I worry about is that they may break him and he may become a different person. That is what they are paid to do you know. I know that he has a strong will and can handle anything they throw at him, but he will be severely missed. I know I will never find a friend as great as him again. So to James Robirds, good luck to you and know that you will be missed and thought of while you are away. Abov are several pictures and below are some videos of our times hanging out, the best times in life.

What's this all about?

Never really paid any attention to blogs as an exciting source of knowledge or entertainment. I was much more interested in video type diaries or channels on YouTube, including my own. But then I started having urges to write thoughts down or ideas for short and long stories. I wanted somewhere to post these ideas, so this seemed like the best medium since there isn't a proffesionality or specific theme to my life and thoughts. I also really liked the idea that I can also post pictures and videos along with the text. Don't know how I never picked that up before. It will also be enjoyable to work with a medium where I don't have to ever say "lol". I hate those three little letters. They don't really even mean anything anymore. Anyway, I plan to post LOTS of pictures and videos along with just text entries on whatever is happening in my life at the time, or anything significant going on in American culture. Some entries (most actually) will be lighthearted and humorous hopefully, but others will be darker and on a more serious note. I hope I can gain some friends through this as I have on YouTube. I will be continuing my YouTube channel to which is youtube.com/hoodymage where I just do humorous Let's Plays/walkthroughs for video games. I hope I can gain as many friends on blogger as I have been gaining on YouTube. Thanks for your attention and I hope you enjoy what is to come!
